RMP 10.7.1, INtime version 7.1.25030.3
Hi community,
We are encountering an issue with INtime similar to this forum post by Todd where INtime seems to be interfering with another NIC that does not belong to it.
Eg. There are two NICs currently:
- INtime Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (Passed into INtime used for RMP)
- Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I226-V (Used for connecting another device) - Let’s call it B
Reproducing steps
If somehow the EtherCAT channel disrupts (such as servo power off or LAN cable disconnect), the NIC adapter (B) that is not passed into INtime or used by INtime will get disabled with no way to enable it back.
To re-enable the NIC that doesn’t belong to INtime:
- NodeA has to be stopped
- Press “Diagnose Network” for the NIC (B), wait for the network adapter to be reset and enabled
- Re-establish connection of the NIC (B) with its connecting device
- Restart NodeA
The performance of the NIC (B) seems to be affected as well where it is expected to run at 500Mbps but is only receiving around 40-50Mbps
What could be the reason that other NICs (that are not passed into INtime or used by INtime) be affected when INtime is facing connection issue of its own? (such as RMPnetwork going down)
Your help and feedback is much appreciated. Thank you!
