I want to use an arbitrary network input for homing. Regarding Axis::HomeLimitCustomConfigSet(), which homing methods will support this scenario?
Are there any that actually care whether the input is the standard, dedicated input vs any other firmware bit?
Any method that uses the home switch should support Axis::HomeLimitCustomConfigSet(). When you call that method the change happens at the firmware level. Are you seeing an unexpected behavior with any particular method?
Thanks for the info.
No, I’ve not received any errors. The docs don’t suggest (one way or the other) that some methods will/won’t support an input that’s not the dedicated home input.
I asked the question because of the anecdotal description you gave of methods 123-130 made it sound as if the edge-triggered methods required using the dedicated input.
Ah, I see. ya that should be read as “home d̶e̶d̶i̶c̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ input”
