I don’t know the exact behavior of the drive. If the node stops communication during the soft reboot, I’d expect the Network to enter shutdown. I’m not familiar with Network Management protocols (NMT) as a common feature for any CoE drives.
OK. The drive software can do this, and it seems like it does its thing without taking down the network, but I can’t verify that with confidence.
Short answer: probably not.
